Tom Wilson is the founder and principal attorney at Wilson Law Offices who has represented victims of personal injury and wrongful discharge matters for thirty years. An experienced litigator in medical malpractice cases, Mr. Wilson successfully argued a leading medical malpractice case before the West Virginia Supreme Court of Appeals regarding pre-suit notice for medical malpractice claims keeping the courthouse doors open for victims of careless doctors and hospitals: Pre-suit screening for medical malpractice cases “is not intended to restrict or deny citizens’ access to the courts.” (Hinchman v Gillette, 217 W. Va. 378, 618 S.E.2d 387).
A military veteran, Mr. Wilson is sensitive to the needs of military personnel, both active duty and reserve, who are facing legal problems, especially those dealing with veteran’s re-employment rights.
Mr. Wilson completed his undergraduate studies at Marshall University in Huntington, West Virginia and earned his law degree from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law, in Sacramento, California. He is currently licensed to practice law in West Virginia, Florida, California, the United States Court of Federal Claims in Washington, D.C., and several US District Courts. During his career, Mr. Wilson has been admitted to practice in more than two dozen additional states on a case by case basis in matters involving medical malpractice, defective drugs and medical devices. Mr. Wilson entered the practice of law as an associate with Preiser Law Offices, Charleston, West Virginia, handling claims for infants injured by defective vaccines. He also managed the firm’s office in Boca Raton, Florida.
